Showcasing prints and originals of graffiti masters including Banksy, Pure Evil and Shepard Fairey, Urban Uprising in Darlinghurst is a gallery for patrons with a bit of edge.
Urban Art is inspiring a new generation of art collectors across the world. In the gallery’s opening show, some of the most iconic images in urban art from most of the major street artists around the world were shown including collections of the most prominent artists of the art genre that is booming. Such iconic images included works by Banksy, Insect, Beejoir, Faile, Gee Vaucher, Jamie Reid, James Cauty, Shepard Fairey (Obey Giant), Blak Le Rat and the fast rising Nick Walker.
There are also prints from lesser known breakthrough artists - offering a great opportunity to start collecting these artists at very affordable prices.
In December 2009, the Urban Uprising launched a new series of solo shows (first off the block) London artist Pure Evil presenting “A Pure Evil Xmas”.
During the solo shows, the gallery will still maintain a collection of iconic prints available from artists such as Banksy, Shepherd Fairey etc and you can also offer to procure certain prints upon request.
The gallery is open Monday to Saturday 12pm-7pm, so if you’re in the mood to see some Urban street art by global, national and up-and-coming artists, then visit Urban Uprising for a new look at art and your world.
Stroll in and be absorbed into a creative world of vividly coloured reflections of our modern world.
