Long Live Annie Leibovitz

Take A Photo - It'll Last Longer

By Zoe Ferguson, 02 December 2010

"The camera makes everyone a tourist in other people's reality, and eventually in one's own". These are the words of the incomparable Susan Sontag: author, political activist and late partner of famed celebrity photographer Annie Leibovitz. This summer the Museum of Contemporary Art is exhibiting the legendary works of American photographer Annie Leibovitz, to Australian audiences. Following a record-breaking tour of the US and Europe, this hugely popular exhibition showcases the commercial, documentary and personal works selected by the artist.

In a celebration of Leibovitz's life (1990-2005) the works explore intimate and personal moments, through the stunning portraits of well-known figures including Brad Pitt, Demi Moore, Hillary Clinton and Mick Jagger.

Be a voyeur of life and all its mysteries, explored through Leibovitz's eyes, and indeed her lens, and enjoy her work while she graced us with her amazing talent.
