Materialising from the airwaves onto stage, FBi’s bodily presence is free to experience this Friday at Kings Cross Hotel. Refurbished, reinvigorated and rewired, FBi radio is opening their first ever pop-up live music venue, and their big ol’ welcome ‘look-at-what’s-in -store’ party is gonna be huge.
The refurbished Kings Cross Hotel has been adopted as FBi’s new abode to develop and further their mission of assisting emerging local bands to burst onto new platforms, in front of larger audiences. And where better to launch than in the throbbing heart of Sydney’s night life, with its 200-person capacity and 24/7 licence, reviving Sydney’s live music and dive-bar roots; a taste our mouths have grown to miss.
This wonderful night of free frivolity and entertainment is being headlined by none other than the boys from Dappled Cities, blasting their way through songs from their upcoming new album and of course the ones we know and love. Other live sounds to be heard include Midnight Juggernauts DJs, Canyons, Andy Bull, Worlds End Press, The Laurels, Magnetic Heads duo, Belles Will Ring, Spookyland, Tortoiseshell, Pluto Jonze, Kirin J Callinan and so much more it’ll blow your mind if I tell you all at once. So take the plunge down William St, get there for an 8pm start and enjoy a free night of incredible live music and support FBi and emerging artists.
