Nestle into the Aviary

Take a peek at Victoria's Secret

By Hannah Colless, 14 April 2011

The Aviary can be found in the heart of Little Saigon on Victoria Street, Richmond. It stands out amidst the rows and rows of Vietnamese restaurants and it's the ideal drinking spot, post-Pho. It's also, in fact, an ideal eating spot. Executive chef, Staphane Rio, hails from Brittany, France, and with over a decade of experience in fine dining around Europe under his belt, the Aviary's kitchen is in good hands. The dining area can fit up to 42 guests but there's also the option of casual dining in the bar and courtyard.

It really is a beautiful venue, which perfectly combines clean, modern style with old-world charm. High ceilings give it an open, uncluttered atmosphere but the open fireplace and brown leather sofas feel like a cosy country club.

When it comes to drinks The Aviary doesn't leave anyone out. You'll find everything from humble basics to intricately created cockails. The wine list offers a thoughtfully-selected range of both old and new world varieties to match the decor and the seasonal cocktails are made to match any mood, taste, or seasonal fluctuations. However, the Summer Sangria is so popular they keep it flowing all year round, rain, hail or shine. There are also a range of no-fuss local and  imported beers, as well as cider both on tap and by the bottle.

The Aviary suits any mood, whether you're after a warm whiskey by the fireplace, an afternoon beer or a few too many cocktails. Perch yourself in The Aviary and prepare to be impressed.
