Cross bone style

What do you do, and how did you come to do what you do?

A dear friend my mine once described me as "a general jack of all trades, free spirited but all over the place, with a 12 year old boys hand writing." I am a Freelance Photographer. I became a Photographer by accident.

What’s on the horizon?

Mountain climbing; road trips; market stalls; potential book collaboration; dayelsford; Adelaide; solo exhibition.... AND this is all just in the next month!

What's…

… your favourite place to shop in Melbourne?

Extinct in Fitzroy, it's my one stop shop for the best Australian designed and made garments. While markets are like my secret hobby, my favorites have to include Hello Sailor Vintage Fair at the Grace Darling and the Camberwell Markets for a boiled hotdog and a score from a $2 special pile.

... the trend to watch for Spring?

Bird watching. It's all the rage in Paris and Milano! The Sartoralist said so!

... the best coffee in Melbourne?

Seven Seeds alway supply the goods without a doubt.

... the best place to eat in Melbourne?

Min Lokal for late afternoon breakfasts on a Wednesday. And my boyfriend Timey's couch on a Sunday night, a Little Tony's American pizza followed with a tub of supreme macadamia nut ice-cream is never a fail!

… your favourite gallery in Melbourne?

The belated Don't Come Gallery, RIP, for it was where the origins of vibe began (an unfortunate in-joke between me and my boyfriend!), and Tinning Street in Brunswick, where I will be holding a solo show late November! It's awesome! Go check it out and say hey to Max, his poison is red wine, any time of day!

... your favourite Melbourne based photographer?

I have two. The first is the most amazing woman ever Gen Kay. Her photos are beautiful, honest, simple in style yet intensely emotive. She's also just an amazing human and babe in general, so she ticks all the boxes for ultimate wow-factor. The second is the very talented Christian Blanchard. With whom I have interned with for the last two and a half months. He has taught me skills that I will have forever engrained into my brain and has been a supportive influence from the get go.
