Mitchell Scott beats the drums in the sensational Melbourne-grown electropop three piece, Cut Copy. The group have travelled the world, solo and alongside acts like Franz Ferdinand, The Presets, Bloc Party, and puh-lennnty more. Cut Copy has released two albums thus far, and a highly anticipated third is due out in February 2011. And now for (small)Lust’s chat with Mitchell the drummer; he may be a man of few words, but it’s what he does on stage that really counts, right?
1. What do you do on Saturdays (that was song that got me into Cut Copy!)?
Today I wanted to see the Twerps play, but missed them, so instead I bought an indoor plant.
2. Would you recommend being a drummer?
Yes, it's quite wonderful.
3. Have you travelled overseas?
Yes - I went by plane and it was nice.
4. Is being an awesome musician all it's cracked up to be?
I'd have to ask Joe Satriani.
5. What's...
... the best bar in Melbourne?
Cafe Romantica.
... your favourite fruit?
Rhubarb.
... a cool name for a pet?
Frodo.
