What do you do, and how did you come to do what you do?

I'm a Melbourne designer who has somehow managed to start a label. I did this through sheer luck, a whole lot of balls I didn't know I had, and the need to do something remotely interesting with my life. 

What’s on the horizon?

I want to say the area where the land meets the sea but I know thats not the direction you were going with that question! At this stage I'm taking one day at a time. I'm stocking at the Corner Shop in Sydney which is a huge deal for me and want to really focus my energy on that little venture.

… your favourite place to shop in Melbourne?

Ohhhhhh so many! Camberwell Market for things I can actually afford to buy, Alice Euphemia for Thursday pay day treats and Marias, Assin, and Zambisi for the days I'm dreaming.

... the trend to watch for Spring?

Mustard and Metallic. Together, separate, inside out, upside down. Any which way they come. Amazing.

... the best coffee in Melbourne?

Brother Baba Budan on Little Bourke St. It's always packed, theguy can never remember my name and it's rare that I can find a seat but the coffee is so beyond worth it. 

... the best place to eat in Melbourne?

For sake and shashimi, Izakaya Den, and for fun nibblies and the best mojitos in Melbourne you can't beat The Toff at Curtain House.

… your favourite gallery in Melbourne?

I have to say the late Don't Come gallery. It was the first gallery I ever went too and actually enjoyed. They had cool little Friday night parties and brought in really amazing artists. But that was then and this is now, so I have to say No Vacancy always have great exhibitions on and fun things to do.

... your favourite Melbourne based photographer?

There's this babe called Natalie Nikitovic. She's a self employed freelance type who photographs purely for the love of it. And I'm lucky enough to have had her creative mits work in my last season and again for my next season. And hopefully again and again after that.
