Grandiflora, Potts Point

Saskia Havekes' blossoming passion

By Zoe Ferguson, 01 May 2010

What inspired you to create Grandiflora?
A great passion for flowers, which was inspired by Constance Spry

How did you start Grandiflora?
It initially started with a business partner, who left 3 years later, on a shoestring. We found the location, an old laundry, and were inspired by the potential to have a great shop window, and open plan working area in a studio environment, in the landmark building the Macleay Regis.

What's going on at the moment with Grandiflora and what's on the horizon?
Our third Grandiflora book ‘Grandiflora Events’ is in the pipeline and we have exciting changes ahead with a new website imminent, and the Grandiflora studio opening to focus on flowers by appointment and events, with continued phone and internet orders generating even more beautiful bespoke flower work.
