Refreshingly Limedrop

A Limedrop a day keeps the doctor away

By Kat George, 14 May 2010

Limedrop is one of Melbourne’s best kept secrets- and favourite style darlings- and this winter, the sky’s the limit for Limedrop.

Designers Nathan Price and Clea Garrick are the faces of Limedrop and their matching grins are unmistakeable- not to mention completely irreplaceable- on the streets of Melbourne. Always colourful and full of joy, the happy couple are deservedly reaping the rewards of their craft, as Limedrop bounds from strength to strength, season after tireless season.

Known for their commitment to fun, functionality and their witty take on seasonal trends, Limedrop takes the superficialities and mundanities from fashion and replaces them with something far more relaxed and open-minded. Based on a foundation of regular clothes for regular people, Limedrop does something that other ‘regular’ labels don’t- they add a generous dose of individuality to everything they do. While removing the elitism from their unique brand of fashion, Limedrop all at once create something as accessible as it is covetable; something for everyone but without the fatal generic ‘sameness’ of popular commercial labels.

Never ones to shy away from a challenge, Price and Garrick have taken up arms for winter and outdone themselves again. Brewed on a palette of sapphire blue, burnt orange and jungle green the design duo has created a formidable fashion storm. From batwing dresses to disco metallics for women to lengthy shirts and tailored chinos for men, Limedrop has created a mature collection to face the oncoming chill. Never forgetting their cheeky side, the pair have infused the collection with their signature exuberance, using a digitally printed cloudy sky-scape to adorn shorts, shirts, scarves and blazers.
