Add Some Cream To Sweeten Your Day

By Zoe Ferguson, 25 June 2010

Sitting on Crown Street, Surry Hills, there is a lovely little store with the sweet sounds of Bob Dylan, The Beatles and David Bowie drifting softly through its welcoming door. Step inside and be transported to a time where music was wild, love was free and fashion was fabulous and experimental. Set your clocks to Cream time.

Here the clothes are one of a kind, everything is a one-off, a unique masterpiece and fashionable relic. Everything is matchless except the new-line denim, and the leather jackets that are made from recycled leather and come in a variety of styles, from bomber to hoodie, it all looks great.

The dresses are gorgeous and cute at the same time, with several prints in the same cut, you can work with a diverse range of looks to go with your mood. The coats are amazing, big and warm with delightful designs, and sequined blazers to boot, it's a one-stop shop.

As for foot-wear, there are leather boots and lace-ups lining the walls, with quiant hats and big bags, your accessory list can be ticked off with a smile. And if you're after some vintage shades, there is a stand supplying you with limited edition Ray Bans and John Lennon round frames.

There is a second Cream store in Newtown (317 King Street) and if you need help in either shop location, the staff are so friendly and have great taste if you want advice on your garment choice.

It's a great shop to peruse through and find a gem (or two, or three...) and the clothes are so fun, quirky and vintage it's a delight to wear them. So experiment with time zones and live in the 21st Century and dress like you're from another time as you adapt to Cream time...the best time.
