I like statement jewellery. Because, well, it makes a statement. There are few things that inspire ‘oohs’ and ‘ahhs’ and compliments the way a stand out piece of jewellery does, and Alexandra Blak’s designs are no exception. With an eye for fashion, designer Alexandra Anson’s work is expressive and directional, yet easy to wear and incorporate into the simplest of wardrobes.
Futuristic and androgynous, Alexandra Blak goes against the grain of most statement jewellery with a minimalist aesthetic. Despite the stark elements, Anson’s designs are architectural, with a sharp impact. From Lucite rings and bracelets to silver and stone rings, asymmetry is the key to Alexandra Blak’s stand out designs.
Finding inspiration in the abstract, Anson designs not only her mainline collection but also bespoke pieces for clients. With a love of black tones and putting great importance in form, each piece of Anson’s jewellery is carefully and individually handcrafted by the designer herself in Australia.
